The Last Lavender Harvest of the Season

My final harvest of lavender has finished drying and I’m preparing the dried lavender buds for future projects.  This last batch is much more grayish purple in color and not as vibrant.  But believe me, it smells just as good.

I loved creating this vignette on the potting bench.

I also love the rustic quality of this old wood and wire sifter.

I got this awesome gathering cloth from Rosemary at Ozma of Odds.  It makes cutting lavender a breeze.

I didn't realize I had this many flower frogs!

I'll have to fill up lots of sachets with the lavender buds.

I'm glad I kept this vintage tole tray.  I think it's an unusual color.

It's time to finally say good-bye to the summer season and fully embrace the Fall.

Kim, I'm amazed that you harvested this yourself. Wow!
I just ordered some bundles, and they arrived last week. Love the fresh fragrance of these beautiful lavender wands.

Hi, do you know the name of your lavender please, it's lovely. I grow Hidcote here in UK but think yours looks much better. longer flowers.
