It was a tough fight but guess who won?  Savvy Southern Style got the table!!! (I’ll let her share more photos of HER table…WINK)

We had such a good time at Monsieur and Madame’s shop full of French treasures.  Kim at Savvy Southern Style, Shirley at Housepitality Designs and myself all bought wonderful items here.

We loved this charming shop in Deauville so much that we went twice!!!

A Very Exciting French Friday And Weekly Recap

First of all, you know our Blogger’s Brocanting Tour group has just arrived back home.  So this is a very special French Friday.  Today’s Frenchiness is hot of the press photos from our trip.  This is just a sneak peek.  I'll be posting all about the trip for the next couple weeks!

Mark you calendars for next September. You should come with me next time.

Weekly Recap:

Sunday was the ugly table centerpiece HERE. (Let’s not dwell on that, shall we?)

Tidbits Around The House

Hello all.  This post is a hodge podge of stuff.  I should be arriving back in the US today and can’t wait to catch you up on our Brocanting trip.  I hope you have been following me on Instagram, Twitter, and FB.

First up, here’s the master mantle since I removed the tall vases and added the sugar mold candle holder.  I think it’s rustic quality adds a nice warmth for Fall.

Next up, I found this cool English tip tray in a local antique shop a few weeks ago.

I’ve never seen one of these.  I really like the rich patina and slanted edge.

And finally, I wanted to share my ceramic French hen.

IMG_3067

It’s made in France by La Pintade.  It comes in a variety of colors, but I love this color for Fall.

Here’s a sneak peek (in the background) of what I’m sharing for the Fall Around The House on October 1 & 2 with 12 other awesome bloggers.

I know I’ll be worn out tonight and can’t wait to sort through all the tons of photos I took.

Kim

The Last Lavender Harvest of the Season

My final harvest of lavender has finished drying and I’m preparing the dried lavender buds for future projects.  This last batch is much more grayish purple in color and not as vibrant.  But believe me, it smells just as good.

I loved creating this vignette on the potting bench.

I also love the rustic quality of this old wood and wire sifter.

I got this awesome gathering cloth from Rosemary at Ozma of Odds.  It makes cutting lavender a breeze.

I didn't realize I had this many flower frogs!

I'll have to fill up lots of sachets with the lavender buds.

I'm glad I kept this vintage tole tray.  I think it's an unusual color.
