The Music Room At Christmastime

The music room is where I’ve always put up the main Christmas tree.

Last year I decided against the large tree and went with a 6’ tabletop tree.  I’m using it again this year because it’s so much easier to handle and decorate AND I actually love it!

This is the only room that doesn’t have red and white Christmas colors.  I use a combo of gold and mercury glass and like to call it my frosted cashmere look.  The tree was actually called a frosted cashmere and I like the way it sounds.

I use my French-related ornaments and sentiments mostly in here.  The Eiffels remind me of Paris (city) and the sheep remind me of Provence (country).

I got the cable knit tree skirt at TJ Maxx.  I’m into cable knit this holiday so stay tuned for the next post!

Did any of you see these great burlap Santa sacks at TJ Maxx?   It looks good on the antique European sled.

This sled is much larger than the one I used on my hot cocoa bar HERE.

I used a fresh garland that I got from Lowe’s on the mantle plus some weeping pine that I cut from the tree in my back garden.

I tried a series of alphabet votives from PB on here, too, but I’ll tell you in an upcoming post why I didn’t like them and what I did to change it!  I finally got around to hanging the stockings.  I’m in search of the discontinued PB cable knit stockings and keep watching ebay for them.

Here’s one of my Joyeux Noël pillows.  The other one is in the foyer HERE.

And that’s the music room for 2013.  I’ll be sharing a couple more rooms in the next few days.

It looks great, Kim! I love your ornaments and that pillow. I did not see the sacks at TJ Maxx, although I wasn't looking for something specific and then just got out of there before I did any more damage. : )

Beautiful, Kim! I also got one of those bags at TJ Max. Did you see the tote bags that were like them that they had for less than $5? Bought several of those for gifts. Also, the Lowes here will give you the fresh clippings from their Christmas trees. They just throw them in the dumpster every night. I've gone dumpster diving several times! Love the fresh greens and they are great for using in porch pots. Hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas!

Beautiful decor! Do you recall where you found the last ornament, the angel with the tall hat?
