Relax. Take a deep breath, Kim. It’s been one month since my last post but I’m still here. You wouldn’t believe me if I told you. Actually it’s the other way around…..If YOU had told ME a year ago I’d be this busy at the onset of empty nesting I’d have thought you were crazy. I can’t even begin to explain. College move-in, sorority, huge move for the post-grad, (by the way a big shout out to United Van Lines/Vincent-Fister for the awesome job of moving an entire condo), Chicago, Atlanta, Louisville, Lexington, etc., etc., etc.,
Oh, the thrill of being busy. I’ve only been home a couple days a week for the past 8 or 9 weeks. What’s that you say? Summer’s over?
And, if that wasn’t enough, GUESS what next week is?????
Yep, my TRIP to PARIS. Remember, the cool Paris apartment I’ll be staying in?
Oh, and I forgot to mention. The “WHOLE house being painted thing” is also happening now. WHAT? Don’t most people plan to have their ENTIRE house painted in the middle of their Paris dream trip?
Of course they don’t! What was I thinking!
I thought I’d leave you with some “glamour shots” just to show you the mess opportunities I’m facing in the house.
To say the whole house is torn up is a big understatement. Poor LBE. She’ll have to be put back together. (A decorator’s playground so to speak). I think the painters have taken up residence!!!
Think this would be a good place for a decorating blog? I’ve got lots of exciting things to work on when I return. LOTS of things to say the least.
Thanks for your patience and support. I’ll be back blogging away soon. Hope you’ll hang in there with me. I can’t wait to catch up on all your lovely blogs as well. I’ll be sure to take lots of photos in France to share, too.
The bags are almost packed. The painters have the keys to the house. Bye -Bye to the mess. It’ll be here when I return.
Au Revoir,
Kim
