It’s a very neutral palette for me this year. I’m using a winter white background with pops of candy apple green used sparingly. Fresh greens and burlap add texture.
The tablescape is very simple using only an antique French dough box dressed with candles and fresh greenery and a pair of deer that have been freshly spray painted in gloss white and spiffed up with glitter bows.
My two favorite pieces are the ceramic deer head and the white pom-pom wreath. Both came from Target and I think they look very high-end even though they were inexpensive. (I just realized when I shot these photos I hadn’t added the white pillar candles to the hurricanes, lol)
A simple boxwood wreath adds a touch of elegance.
I also found this awesome white nutcracker at Target this year. I already had the green feather trees.
I used a quilted boutis white runner.
It is a very different look for me this year. It’s taken the family some time to get used to it. I think they are still wondering where all the bows and red color have gone. I’m not sure they “get” it.
But I like it and I know you all “get” it.
Merry Christmas,
Kim

Kim, your dining room decor is simply elegant! I love your white deer and the touches of greenery. Your family sounds like mine. When I didn't pull out ALL of the usual fanfare, they were like, "Where's the rest?!" LOL!
ReplyDeleteHello Kim,
ReplyDeleteLooking at your dining room? It really impressive!!! Looks like in a magazine.
I so LOVE the simple & the elegance.
Great job.

Funny, cuz this is one of the few years I brought in any red - go figure. We gals gotta change all the time, don't we?
ReplyDeleteYou know this room looks absolutely fabo, Kim, but you know what I would change? I see your dough bowl pillar candles over on the table with the ceramic deer head, and I see ivory candles, same size, wrapped in tea-stained old Christmas music paper and tied with a skinny twine string.
Just sayin. The gold doesn't want to play there for some reason. Hope it's ok I said this publically? My heart is sincerely in the right spot and mean NO disrespect whatsoever. I ♥.
Looks awesome, great job.
Sooooo pretty. I love the pops of green against the neutral.
